My research background:
Adèle Hilico obtained her PhD in 2014 from the SYRTE laboratory at Paris Observatory, for her work on an atomic physics experiment to measure the short-range forces between an atom and a surface using atom interferometry methods. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Vienna University of Technology (Austria) working on an experiment studying light-matter interaction at the scale of the atom and the single photon, where she helped demonstrate the first quantum optical circulator. In 2018, she was recruited as an associate professor at the University of Bordeaux to work on the development of laser systems for quantum technologies, and in particular the realization of low-noise power laser amplifiers in the infrared and high-power generation in the visible. She recently joined the Laboratoire de Physique des Lasers at Sorbonne Paris Nord University to work within the Metrology and Fundamental Tests team on the realization of low-noise frequency lasers and the distribution of frequency and time references via fiber links, and possible applications to quantum key distribution infrastructures.
