My research background:

I am a physics professor at the Laboratoire de Physique des Lasers, and director of this laboratory since 2019. I did a thesis on resonant wave mixing in gaseous atomic media, then became an associate professor and studied spectroscopy of atoms in the vicinity of dielectric surfaces. I then joined the LPL’s Metrology, Molecules and Fundamental Tests team, which focuses on precision measurements, in particular ultra-high resolution spectroscopy of molecules. The aim is to discover new physical effects beyond current theories, by comparing ultra-precise measurements with the values expected by the various existing physical models.

I’m currently working on the dissemination of ultra-stable frequency signals via optical fibers and the development of the REFIMEVE national research infrastructure. This opens up a wide range of applications, including clock comparisons, fundamental physics tests, and quantum communications.
